Local SEO Checklist for Pest Control Businesses
Editorial guidance by Modern Labyrinth · Revised September 19, 2026
Use this checklist to find concrete defects before commissioning more content. It applies to an operating business with real services and coverage. AQuality does not provide pest treatment.
Business profile
- Confirm eligibility and ownership of the correct existing profile.
- Check the real name, hours, phone, address-display settings and service area.
- Remove obsolete offers, inaccurate opening status and unsupported business claims.
Website
- Check that the main service pages explain real services and coverage.
- Follow every primary contact link on mobile and review the request confirmation.
- Check descriptive titles, headings, internal links and the intended canonical URL.
Local references
- Correct important directory entries against current business records.
- Verify membership and partner references before displaying their names or logos.
- Publish area-specific content only where there is actual service coverage and distinct useful information.
Reviews
- Invite honest feedback without incentives or filtering for positive sentiment.
- Use approved private contact routes for account-specific replies.
- Remove fabricated testimonials and verify permission for any quoted customer story.
Measurement
- Compare Search Console queries and pages across equivalent periods; label low-volume uncertainty.
- Use the inquiry checklist to distinguish clicks, accepted requests and delivered inquiries.
- Ask the business to record qualified inquiries and confirmed bookings separately from website events.
For the official foundations, consult Google's business representation rules and SEO Starter Guide. Completing a checklist does not guarantee a search position or lead volume.
